Spark Update: Topaz Crescent, Red Hills

Topaz Crescent, Red Hills

Our third Spark Road has started within the constituency along Topaz Crescent in Red Hills. For the residents of Topaz Crescent and surrounding communities this is a welcomed project and has been the desire of the members of this constituency for a long time.

Under the Government's Spark Programme each community was assigned 10 roads for comprehensive rehabilitation and this marks the 3rd road to be started within our constituency. Addington Drive and Greendale Crescent were completed earlier this year.

Addington Drive Spark rehabilitation

Hurricane Melissa had interrupted the schedule of rehabilitation however, the Spark Programme has resumed and I deem it necessary to both provide the relevant updates to all constituents as well as to provide a reminder of the list of roads scheduled to be repaired under the Spark Programme.

The 10 allocated Roads are as follows:

• West Kirkland Heights Main Road, Red Hills

• Monterey Avenue, Patrick City

• Topaz Avenue, Red Hills

• Lockhart Avenue, Patrick City

• Vilma Avenue, Hughenden

• Elma Crescent, Maverley

• Patosi Avenue, Pembroke Hall

• Addington Drive, Havendale

• Greendale Crescent, Valentine Gardens

• Lower Tunbridge Drive, Meadowbrook

As indicated earlier, Greendale Crescent and Addington Drive have already been completed. As work continues on Topaz Crescent, I will be sure to share updates. I thank the Government of Jamaica and the National Works Agency and the contractors for their commitment to this project.
